Missed opening night? Thats ok - the show goes on ( well at least til the 23rd ) And what a show it is. I'm thrilled to be show casing a new collection of work along side fellow creatives Myra Staffa, Joia Ellery and Rebekah Clarke in " In Gentle Company" at the incredible space that is Oxford Street Gallery, Mt Hawthorn, Perth WA.

A new collection born from quiet times. Works that come from a soft and kind place. When one learns to sit with the silence, the unease, the pain. Not to fight it, just sit with it. What was created intutively, through big feelings are works on raw canvas that are softer than before. Before what, before it all. Life I guess. They speak words I was unable to say, they whisper emotions I was new to feeling.

Along side the creating, I've recorded studio notes, scribbles and words. A reflection on current thoughts, feelings and life happenings to accompany my memories of the creative process. While these notes, rambles, sentences, are not for anyone but myself, they feel as if they are the most important part of the work. Words say just as much.

Opening night was a blast, it was wonderful to see so many new faces, finally meet many instagram friends in real life and to the Italian women who spoke no English, but managed to thank me for the work - you absolutely made my night. To the new friends I made, Thank you. For the new followers, Thank you. To everyone involved Thank you. For the family and friends that came from afar to check it out over the weekend, Thank you. Oh and if you havent made it yet, its ok - its open til the 23rd of the month. It was a night, that left my cup full. Overfollowing infact. To talk art for hours with creatives, friends new and old was magic. Chats with beautiful artists that wanted to talk processes and the disiplines of a creative life - So so inspiring. Converstations with women who are new to taking art classes and giving it a go. And absolute buzz. Yarns with my supporters ( you know who you are ) and well all the love, support from family and friends. It means the world.

If you get the opportunity, pop into the Gallery please do! Not just to see my works, but those of my fellow creatives. I'm so honoured be showcasing next to such amazing works. Thank you Abbey & Lynette for bringing it all together at the absolutely incredible Oxford Street Gallery. If you can't get to the gallery, pop online to https://oxfordstgallery.com/?srsltid=AfmBOopw6llzQkryBxOoaywuaJE3sZh5beeT0CvRRvwLfIl75cK8x8Tk to check out the works. Reach out if you have any questions or would like to purchase the works.

Peace & Art Tish x
